Self-care is vital to help you tune into your hunger, fullness, and overall needs.
I’m not referring to massages and bubble baths – although those can be important too.
The kind of self-care I am referring to is making sure your basic needs are being met.
Here are some things to think about:
- Are you getting enough sleep?
- How many hours do you work?
- How often do you get outdoors?
- Do you have any spiritual practices?
- What do you do to relax?
- How often do you get together with friends?
If you are not getting your basic needs met, it is difficult to tune into your mind and body. Self care is the foundation of intuitive eating.
